Our Sessions

Dr. Jennifer Wade working through an in-home fitness and rehabilitation session with a dog

What a typical session looks like

Whether your dog is here to build fitness or recover from an injury, every visit follows the same thoughtful structure — an unhurried, hands-on hour built entirely around your dog, in the comfort of your own home. Here's what to expect when Dr. Jennifer comes to visit.

What to Expect

An hour built around your dog

Fitness and rehabilitation sessions are structured the same way. Each one pairs a full physical evaluation with hands-on treatment and a plan you can keep working on at home between visits.

60 minutes

Every in-home appointment is a full hour — no rushing, no waiting room.

  1. Meeting your dog where they are

We work at your dog's pace in their own home — no muzzles, no forced restraint, and plenty of treats. Comfort and trust come first, so the rest of the session can actually work.

  2. Physical evaluation & lameness exam

A thorough assessment of joints and muscles, strength testing, a neurologic screen when needed, and a careful pain evaluation — the foundation for everything that follows.

  3. Gentle, tailored exercises

Targeted movements matched to your dog's current weight-bearing status and ability level, so we build strength and mobility without overdoing it.

  4. Hands-on soft tissue work

Manual techniques aimed at the primary problem, plus any compensatory soreness found during the exam — because dogs rarely hurt in just one place.

  5. The right treatment modalities

Dr. Jennifer draws on a full toolkit of clinical modalities, choosing the ones that best fit your dog's needs on the day.

  6. A custom home exercise plan

You leave each visit with specific exercises matched to your dog's ability, so progress keeps building between appointments.

  7. A plan built around your goals

Whether the goal is a faster recovery or peak fitness, we map out a path to get there — and adjust it as your dog improves.
