Dr. Jennifer handles the rehab while your vet focuses on medical care, and if she finds or suspects a new condition that needs medical treatment, she'll refer it straight back to your regular vet.

How do in-home visits work?

Dr. Jennifer comes to you, bringing all of her equipment directly to your home so your dog stays comfortable in a familiar environment. There are no stressful car rides or waiting rooms — which is especially valuable for dogs who are recovering from surgery, weak, or best kept out of the car. Every session works at your dog's pace, with no muzzles, no forced restraint, and plenty of treats.

What happens at the first appointment?

Every appointment is a full, unhurried 60 minutes. Dr. Jennifer starts by letting your dog settle in and build trust, then performs a thorough physical evaluation and lameness exam — assessing joints and muscles, testing strength, and carefully evaluating for pain. From there she moves into gentle, tailored exercises and hands-on soft tissue work. You'll finish with a custom home exercise plan and a path mapped out around your goals for your dog.

Our primary service area covers Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Chelan, Quincy, and the surrounding communities. We're also happy to travel further for a mileage fee — just ask when you request a session.

There's no extra travel charge within our primary service area — Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Chelan, Quincy, and nearby communities. For visits beyond that, we add a mileage fee based on your location. Reach out with your address and we'll confirm the details before your first appointment.

How many sessions will my dog typically need?

It depends on your dog's condition, age, and goals, so Dr. Jennifer maps out a plan at your first visit and adjusts it as your dog improves. As a guide, a structured fitness program often runs about eight weeks, while recovery from a major surgery like a TPLO may take closer to twelve. Because every visit ends with a custom home exercise plan, progress keeps building between appointments.

What conditions do you treat?

Dr. Jennifer works with a wide range of orthopedic, neurologic, and fitness needs — from osteoarthritis, cruciate (CCL) injuries, and post-surgical recovery to IVDD, degenerative myelopathy, and general conditioning or weight loss. If your dog is dealing with pain, weakness, stiffness, or paralysis, there's a good chance rehabilitation can help.

Is Dr. Jennifer a licensed veterinarian?

Yes. Dr. Jennifer Wade is a licensed veterinarian in Washington and Oregon and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). She earned her veterinary degree at Washington State University and completed advanced rehabilitation training with the Canine Rehabilitation Institute — so she never loses sight of your dog's whole-body health during rehab.

Is my dog too old — or too young — for sessions?

Not at all. Every plan is matched to your dog's current ability, whether they're a young athlete in training, recovering from surgery, or simply slowing down with age. For senior dogs especially, structured strengthening can rebuild lost muscle, improve balance, and restore confidence on their feet.

What treatment methods do you use?

Dr. Jennifer draws on a full clinical toolkit and chooses what best fits your dog on the day — gentle stretching, massage, cold laser therapy, PEMF, TENS and NMES electrical stimulation, instrument-assisted soft tissue work (IASTM), and hot stone therapy, alongside tailored therapeutic exercises.
